Combat Arms Community Podcast

OK, I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong thread (General News does seem a little extreme), but this is important, and could benefit this forum's growth by 5 times, if it works.

I was thinking, maybe we could make a Combat Arms community podcast. For those that don't know what I mean, it would be like a Combat Arms talkshow, where we discuss different assets and features of the game each week.

We could bring in important community people (such as Krytical, the highest ranking guy in the game), and we could talk about new patches, maps, weapons, and other features when they come out for the game.

We need to work quickly, since the game is getting larger. If we don't start this project soon, then we might risk the chance that someone else might come along and make a community podcast, and we'd have a harder competition to go against, therefore diminishing our listeners.

We already have a forums, but we need a few things now:

1. We need a co-host. I would want to be the main host of the podcast, unless of course you guys object. I have a lot of experience with discussing stuff in a orderly fashion, and a few other things. If anyone wants to be the co-host, you'll need these few things:

- A working computer microphone
- Skype
- Intelligent understanding of the game and it's features, etc.

There could be more than one co-host, and they could alternate depending on what week it is, etc. Just post here if you're interested in becoming a co-host.

2. We need an audio editor. This is probably one of the most important jobs there will be in this project. The audio editor will need to take the audio file we've recorded of us talking, and add in special effects and our opening theme song (and we can choose this as well, if this project ever gets off the ground), as well as any other audio editting that may need to be done. Please post if you're interested in becoming an audio editor.

3. Well, since we already have this forums, we can use this one as a base of operations. All sorts of community fans will visit here to get info, and just to hang out and meet other people. However, it'd be cool if we could get a working website too. If anyone has knowledge of building a website, and would like to do so, please sign up here. (we don't really need this right of the bat though).

I've already thought of a name for the podcast, unless you guys want to try your hand at making your own. My name idea was "Combat Armed," but you guys can discuss it and decide what you'd want to be a name for this podcast.

Well let me know what you guys think of this idea, and I really think we could pull it off. Who knows, we might become NEXON Combat Arms legends... Through hard work and determination, of course.

I'll draw up a rough schedule of the first few episodes to give you guys an idea of the pattern we'll be taking for the podcast, if this idea gets accepted. Please respond ASAP, I really want to get this project off the ground!

It means I understand the concept and how it can potentially get us more members. Lol

And how it could possibly make us popular and well-known to a large part of Combat Arms... Yeah... Huzzah!

Sounds like a really cool idea! I am up for contributing in any way I can! Only problem is that I don't know how... But I'm sure I'll think of something!

I have a mic and Skype, but I don't have enough time to devote to being a full time host, maybe I could do one specific section of the podcast, kind of like the weather or sports people on the radio, or I could be the announcer and introduce the hosts. I don't know, just some ideas

Yeah, we could bring you onto the show as a guest host at times, and you could also do the opening stuff too Sounds all good to me. When SinisteRing confirms whether or not we can do this, then I'll post some stuff about it on the Nexon.net forums, and I'll post a schedule for it on here too!

It sure doesn't seem like it probably from this because I slept through the entire creation of this thread. -.-

I also have a mic and skype, I think that I can bring alot to this community with what knowledge and experience I ahve with not only Combat Arms, but also other FPSs. Discussing Weapons, loadout, tactics, maps, and issues affecting the community.

I have found a few programs that we can use to add edit videos and sound so if u guys want i can do that part BUT i want a practice run first....

Yes, a practice run would be very good, and I think we need to advertise the podcast a lot more, so that we have a lot of listeners for our first one. And we need to make the first one really good (might take a couple tries) so that they come back the next week. By the way, I have company coming today and they will be here for 11 days so I may not have much time for a while here, I'll try to check in with you guys as much as possible.
