Well as I explained in my introduction, I too engineered a Combat Arms forum, but it didn't work out too well. So, I'm joining you guys, and hoping I can help out in anyway possible (I'll do some advertisment [AKA spamming the servers... Just kidding] and what not next time I get on).

My forum had been mostly finished, and it had many more boards than this one. Here are ALL the suggestions for categories and boards for this forum, so it'll attract more people. I'll add more if I can think of any as time goes on. If you already have any of these, I'm just copying my entire old forum, so just ignore the ones that you already have.

1. Weapon/Equipment Discussion (sub-boards: Assault Rifles, Sub-Machine Guns, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, Light Machine Guns, Pistols, Explosives and Secondaries, Equipment)
2. Map Discussion
3. "What Does the Future Hold?" (talk about possible new updates/patches to the games that have or haven't been confirmed yet [or you can predict your own] )

CLAN DISCUSSION (if this gets big, we should try to host tournaments and allow clans to come here and recruit/find matches with one another)

CREATIVITY CENTER (if the imaginative, like myself)

6. Trash Bin (this really isn't necessary, but if new members just want to see what we used to talk about, they come here [we move all dead threads to this board, and disable post count] )

So that's all I've got for now. I'll be adding in anything when I think of them. Also, one last suggestion, just for the fun of it: Every good forum/site I've ever been to (well some at least) have had a mythical and mysterious creature that haunts the forums. E.G. Bungie.net = Soffish; Podtacular = Nay Nay.

I think we should make up a forum creature that will haunt the forums and make members ask "Whoa, that was wierd... Maybe it was <insert name here>"

It's an interesting and funny thing to have. We could have it as a reserved name so only a staff member could register an account and make sudden appearances on the forum, only to disappear a few moments later (delete account, then remake whenever necessary, or at least hide it from all other members' views).

I'll post a seperate thread about that, and you guys can give suggestions for names (if it's OK with you guys, of course =P).

So anyway, that's all I've got for now. Hope you guys consider any or all of these board ideas!

It all sounds good to me, except I believe the off-topic should be either scraped or moved to the bottom, and all of the combat armsdiscussion boards should be moved to thetop following announcements and the whatnot because the first thing that shows up on a combat arms forum IS the combat arms boards. This would mostly prevent the forum turning into a chatting place rather than becoming a gaming community.

Also, its lacking a combat arms general discussion board.

I think its a great outline, it just needs minor tweeking.
